KEY POINTS
- The Thai stock market opened lower in the morning session, down 1.13 points to 1,587.10 points
- The index was weighed by selling in oil stocks after oil prices continued to decline
- Technology and electronics stocks were hit by selling in line with U.S. market direction
- Analysts expect the market to move within support at 1,570-1,575 points and resistance at 1,595-1,600 points

Market view: range-bound trading, watch for speculative buying on Q2 results
Terdsak Thaveeteeratham, Executive Director at Asia Plus Securities, said Thai stocks are expected to move sideways today while awaiting new catalysts, but there may be speculative buying in listed companies' Q2/69 results during this period, especially banks, where earnings-speculation buying may still emerge.
As oil prices continue to decline, they will also pressure oil stocks and weigh on the index. Selling in technology-linked stocks, which remain under sentiment pressure from continued selling in U.S. tech shares, may rotate into other sectors instead, leaving the index moving sideways.
Today's range is seen with resistance at 1,595-1,600 points and support at 1,570-1,575 points
